Our physicians prescribe GLP-1 medications like Semaglutide for basic weight loss and Tirzepatide for advanced weight loss, using the same active ingredients as popular brands. Some plans also include vitamins B-6 or B-12 to boost energy and reduce fatigue, helping you stick to your diet. GLP-1 and GIP medications aid in weight loss and blood sugar management by mimicking signals that control appetite and food intake as well as regulating blood sugar. Tirzepatide is more effective because it targets both GLP-1 and GIP pathways, enhancing appetite regulation and resulting in more significant weight loss compared to GLP-1-only medications like Semaglutide. However, Semaglutide is still very effective on its own.

It is not common for patients to discontinue GLP-1 medications due to side effects. In rare cases, patients may experience acid reflux, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, or constipation. Nausea typically decreases with continued use of the medication. Various strategies can help mitigate these side effects, making them a minor concern for most patients.

While it’s not mandatory to change your diet, healthy eating habits can enhance weight loss maintenance. Exercise boosts metabolism, prevents diseases, and supports long-term weight management. No sudden rebound weight gain will occur, but genetic factors and past habits can still pose a chance of gaining weight in the future. Consistently practicing good dietary habits and regular exercise will help you maintain your weight loss and overall health.
